Optical Physics for Kids is a simple and fun introduction of linear optics. Kids will find out lots of interesting optical physics knowledge in the application. And the most important thing is kids are not learn in this application, but play in the application through lots of hands on activities. The whole class part is free, and you can pay only $1.99 to get more exciting play activities in Lab part.
In this application, there are many optical physics concepts mentioned like reflection, spectrum, refraction, dispersion, how to make a rainbow, or tow rainbows, etc.
During the designing and development, we received a lot of feedback from kids and their parents, even their grandparents:
• Great app for a kid who is curious about everything. I have to admit that I didnt realize that double rainbows have inverted colors. They even explained why in a simple way. I highly recommend this app for anybody with kids, nieces/nephews, grandkids, etc.
• This app is great to teach kids a basic understanding of scientific topics. This app breaks down very complicated things into terms that a toddler can understand which is not an easy feat. I feel like every app in the series is a great choice for any parent with a kid under 7, not just for babies and toddlers. I like that my daughter is learning about things that really matter for once and not just other garbage. The free class part plus payable lab part combination is great which allows most families to get and use these apps. All I can ask is that more of them become available on App Store so that we can add more to our collection. These apps help build small scientists which is so awesome.
• My toddler loves all the apps in this series. He has several apps, but continually pulls these out and asks us to read it to him. He is not even two yet so that says something to me. To keep a toddler captivated is no small order.
